A friend has decided to sell his 2001 Polaris 6X6 Sportsman ATV. It has a 500 cc motor, removable rubber tracks, electric front winch, windshield, tilt dump box with cover, hand/thumb warmers, electric start and it is in excellent condition. There is only 4,677 miles on it. Included in this package deal is an electric-lift blade (in red) and a hydraulic snowblower (in black). The third picture is the 8 h.p. gas motor and hydraulic pump (required to drive the blower) which sits in the dump box and can be easily removed for summer use. It's finally time to upgrade my snowmobile that I've used to operate my trapline. I've owned it since 1990 and it's never failed me. It's a 1989 Arctic Cat, Cheetah Touring and comes with a 500 cc fan-cooled motor, 2-up seat, high windshield, mirrors, reverse gear, electric start (no battery), ski skins, trailer hitch, spare drive belt and an original, very long track (15" X 156") that's in good shape. Mechanically, it is as good as new. I have just recently replaced both of the drive shaft bearings, brake shoes, the chain case chain & gear lube, non-carbide runners and either repacked or replaced all of the idler wheel bearings. Cosmetically ... well, it's 20 years old. There are rips in the vinyl seat cover, the metallic-grey hood is faded and there's a crack in the plastic nose cone, all of which could be easily repaired, if desired. Over 15 years ago, I cracked the windshield, sewed it up and it's held ever since. This is not an 80 m.p.h. sled; I've used it but never abused it. Rarely, has it ever seen 50 m.p.h. It is an excellent sled for making trails through deep powder, even when pulling a sleigh. This snowmobile would be great for kids or teenagers to ride around the "back 40" or for another trapper. I've got a 10 foot jon boat that is in excellent shape with no leaks or dents. Suggested motor size would be an electric troller or a 2 or 5 h.p. gas motor (not included). I doubt if you'd want anything bigger than a 10 h.p,. motor on it. It's very light-weight and can easily be loaded on either a car-top carrier or an ATV rack by just one person. The flat bottom makes it fairly stable in the water and would make a good starter boat for kids. It can be hoisted onto a man's shoulders and portaged into a back lake or it could be used by trappers. Price is $400 firm.
